I've loved all of Rick Riordan's books since the Lightning Thief came out, and have bought all his mythology books since. In this story, Rick Riordan does not disappoint and leaves you on the edge of your seat by the end of the book wondering what Lester's fate will ultimately be. Robbie Daymond is a skillful narrator who brings all the characters to life and left me laughing multiple times. I also love how Rick Riordan begins all the chapters with a haiku to give a sneak peek of what will happen. I'm kind of shocked he was able to come up with so many. Can't wait to see what Rick Riordan and Robbie Daymond will do in the final book of the series, The Tower of Nero. Definitely a series and an author that people of all ages can enjoy.

Apollo has come such a long way since the first time we met him. In this final installment of the last series of the Percy Jackson universe, Apollo's days as Lester are coming to an end. Either he succeeds in his quest and becomes a god again, reclaiming the last source of prophecy from his archenemy Python in the process, or he dies in the attempt. What could go wrong?

I don't want to give any spoilers away, but the cameos from so many characters who haven't made an appearance in a while brought up a lot of feelings of nostalgia. It was a gift to be able to see what some of our favorite characters were doing instead of being left to wonder. I noticed some spots here and there where Rick left some opportunities open for future stand-alone novels in this universe. I'd love to see a novel about the Hunters of Artemis or everyone's favorite son of Hades, Nico. 

Robbie Daymond is an amazing narrator. The amount of different voices he does within the span of a single book is phenomenal. If I didn't know better, I would think that the voices for Python and Apollo were different people. The amount of effort and dedication he put into this project is obvious. For example, some of the characters have names that involve screech sounds and he did the screech sounds every time their name came up. 

Thank you Rick Riordan for such a great close to the story! I'm a little emotional after finishing a storyline that I've been following since childhood into my adulthood, but it is all happy feels.
